break time.

I switched to writing a different paper for now....because that's how I work when it comes to multiple papers.

also.

5 years is a pretty darn long time to throw away in drain.

distractions.

The internet is a huge one----especially when it comes to trying to write my 7page paper.

School and work is also a distraction from other things.

Music is a distraction too (and here I thought it would help me write.)

Gotta mosey along!

it's so hard.

it's going to be a long and tough week. Good thing I have a week-long break next week...but I have a lot on my mind and I don't know how much more salt I can lose. :/

it's hard, but that just means to pray hard too.

a simpleton

that is what I am.

Today, on my day off, I baked cookies for the first time. sad? yes. accomplished? OH YEAH. They weren't made from scratch though...I bought a cookie mix pouch bag from Fresh n Easy and just mixed and added margarine/egg. They're soooo yummyyyy!!! Buuut...for the second batch I just ended up baking it all as one piece, so it was kind of like a cookie cake thing....still good. My Dad will be proud when I tell him I baked!

Another thing:

I registered for classes! I pretty much got the classes I wanted...except I'm waitlisting for two and I hope I get them! Other than that, my schedule will be fine even if I end up not getting into those two. Hopefully my work schedule will be okay....I guess I'd rather have the morning shift than closing at 8pm, so maybe I'll just do 8am.... -_-. Actually...I like neither of those.

Anyway! Back to eating cookies and cookie cake!

nom nom nom

i just finished a lean pocket and I also have raspberry lemonade!

Maaaan, I just got back from my class and we watched couple dvds and I slept through 95% of them >:(. I even had coffee too! *sigh* I can never stay awake in that class....

Domine me derigas

Help me find the motivation to continue here, away from home. But most importantly, help me to trust in what You want me to do and where You want me to go.

This semester was quite an interesting one. The more I go back home, the more I become so unmotivated in Fullerton. I think this is common to feel, right? Maybe it's because I'm not taking any art classes, so I don't have the motivation in my other classes, that I don't really need. Man. I don't know. There are other things that I've been thinking about too...but I need more time to think!

Domine me derigas, Lord may You guide me.

Please guide me to discern what Your will is---if this feeling is because You want me to go back home for some kind of ministry or if it's because I've begun to feel too comfortable there.

por que

so weird. I'm happy that daylight savings is over and that I get +1 hour of sleep...but...why am I still sleeeeeeepyyyy when I wake up??? I didn't sleep THAT late.....

:O

anyway...I gotta send HW that was due last friday....I hope my teacher accepts it!

Thursday, October 29, 2009

Surely, you can't be serious.

It is----and don't call me Shirley.

I was looking at future art classes for Spring....and the times for all of them are awful. :(. Most of them are the 6hour ones and I can't take some because it overlaps with another. The thing I'm worried about the most is being able to register for those classes at all......blahh. I also don't want to see my advisor...because he's intimidating. and mean. All the guy art teachers at my school are cocky :/. Hopefully I can get some art classes in!

Anywho. After work I'm going to drive to Murrtown for the show...hopefully I can make that also!

Adventure of a Lifetime

Well, I wouldn't call it an adventure, per se, because I only went to Target after work. I had to buy milk so I could eat cereal tomorrow morning for breakfast before my jogging class...

I epically failed to try to come up with a school schedule for next semester, but I DID manage to calculate the remaining units I needed: 66 just for my major. I forget how many GEs I still have left, but I think I might have to do some intercession classes or summer classes, because my parents, very politely, are really pushing me to graduate on time (which, even if I did take vacation classes, I still wouldn't be able to). What's weird is that despite not even taking a single graphic design class yet at CSUF, I've managed to work at Graphic Services for 4 semesters now. Sometimes it's not cool having mixed feelings about work----especially when most of the work orders I do, I don't usually enjoying doing. The only thing that I enjoy for sure is peeling vinyl and going out on campus to either scrape vinyl off windows and stuff, or to apply new vinyl and other field work. But you know what, talking about work like this won't do a thing and it'll only be an insult to the blessing that God gave me. A job. A decent one for a lowly college student at that.

I have to stop complaining at how unfortunate my job is to me and start praising God that I even have a job at all!

What I DO love doing though is graphic design work for the church..... :)

... ...

Anyway...

I haven't jogged in a while and I start up again tomorrow...in new shoes, so I have a feeling it will be a tough one :).

okay, well, I'm off to bed...it's late, but only because I have to run tomorrow. If this wasn't so, I'd still be up.

goodnight--

hah.

Yet another missed one.

If I decide to sleep now and use the whole morning today to finish my project, I will miss my 830am class, but I will get sleep. If I decide to finish it all right now and probably sleep at 3 or 4ish...then I will risk missing that class anyway, or falling asleep in it (which is practically the same as missing it...save for embarrassment in case I twitch in my seat). This project is pretty easy...but it's just the amount of typing and content that takes up the whole time. With the way I'm going, I'm probably going to type way more than what is required for an A+ anyway and a little more. Anyway...I think I will get what I can before 2 and then go to bed and just not go to the most boring class in my semester----one that I kind of don't reeallyy need.

Did I mention it was boring?

Yes?

Well, it is.

I feel like I'm wasting my time for project writing by using my writing juices on this blogpost...but I'll allow it. :)

okay...I'm going to go back to it now...

good morn'evening

p.s.
I watched a large does of House M.D. today; that show is darn good I tell you! I also found out that Hugh Laurie (house) is part of the "Band from TV" band that is composed of actors and other people from tv (like from Heroes, House, an anchorman.., and other people I didnt recognize.) and they're pretty good (That Hugh Laurie can play a mean piano and microphone, but I sort of wish he played the electric too like he does in the show, which he can in real life also...) They do it for fun and give proceeds to charities and such...and they actually play for venues around the country. :O okay. enough useless tidbits!

Mallard.

Took my jogterm today in scantron format...maybe I should have studied again haha. I thought it was last monday so i studied last sunday night...and upon taking the test, I had completely forgotten things. Fortunately, a lot of questions on there also related to what I've been learning in my Nutrition & Health class, so I was able to answer those. :)

Today is my free day! (It was horrible--I thought it was Tuesday! I work on Tuesdays!) I also watched this cool video of----yes, again---this one band. It's a performance slash interview slash pretty funny at the end when there is a type of quizzical portion. Okay, well...I think I'll get started on my project...

Christian, we missed you at the party! And don't worry, I'm sure Jomar has enough party in him to share with you haha...

Crazy Cat.

I thought this was pretty funny :)

I will say this:

'Twas an interesting, yet very great weekend.

Aside from Revo on Saturday....Sunday was just as swell. Worship and the message and everything after. Fruit by the Foot for everyoneee!! Haha....well, not everyone. Those are yummy. After lunch at church was:

going to KH's house so she can change into work clothes.
Ross (Where, apparently that day was "double discount employee day" and there were millions, if not billions, of people.)
Sonics (I thought my iced latte would be half off from happy hour, but twas not.)
Revo meeting
Home (two new songs! yay)
Jedediah's bday partee (pretty fun. it was one of the reasons that made me wish I didn't have to drive back to fullertown.)
Driving back (I was accompanied by a coffee and loud music and loud singing.)

Anyway, this morning in the sanctuary before practice I was reading some verses from
Galatians 5:710, 13-15
"You ran well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth? This persuasion does not come from Him who calls you. A little leaven leavens the whole lump. I have confidence in you, in the Lord, that you will have no other mind;
but he who troubles you shall hear his judgment, whoever he is.
For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
For all the law is fulfilled in one Word, even in this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another!"

All I have to say is: Praise the Lord :)

O-(

...that's a cyclops. A sad one at that.

Revo just happened tonight and it was a blessfilled night. Cronies was interesting because I lost to Dayanara but she was too shy to go against someone else, so I was her only cronie and I think everyone else thought we were part of the bigger groups, but....its ok. Worship was nice and the message was great. That big monitor near my left ear makes a big difference, especially when I have another one on the right! Crazy beans.

okay...well...I'm going to play some songs on the geetarro. I also have to add one thing to the flyer for the Thanksgiving event...

goodnighting.

NO WAYYY.

haha..again. A NEW JAM!

no. way.

whaaat. tis' the end of the concert---encoring it up.

must have been an awesome first concert of the tour.
and it goes into this:

just finished playing on the radio at work.

now it's Linkin Park's In the End....

just 4 and a half more hours of work.

THE GROOVE.

is a song. an old song. a pretty cool one too.

It's ironic when I always think to myself that if I ever got the chance to sleep in, I would, when in actuality, I wake up early and do as much as I can in the free days that I have. I guess I'd rather squeeze in as much productivity and fun into the day instead of wasting it sleeping in until I wake up feeling worse (I hate it when that happens.).

I found out what instrument Matt Bellamy plays for the song "Resistance"...(that weird piano-like thing with the string he moves)...it's called an ondes Martenot and apparently it was one of the first electronic instruments invented and this one guy is one of few that has mastered how to play it, along with two other rare instruments called the "glass harmonica" and "cristal Baschet". This video has the frontman from Gorillaz, but it looks like one of those really old-school videos....

but yeah...an interesting instrument...it's hard to find a cool video of it haha. i gotta say though--that glass harmonica is pretty nice.

Anyway, I'm eating honey nut cheerios and I'm going to jog again later! I'm thinking of going back to Craig Park nearby to jog...it's pretty nice. I think I'm also going to take my online test for my comm class to get it over with. It's open book/note and there's not time limit, so.....I better ace this one. :)

okay, here:

This was part of a dvd thingy...and it shows the ending of stockholm and other things. at the end, matt bellamy does something with his guitar-----crazy.

You must also see the finish:

poor Harrison. He's cool too!

Friday, October 16, 2009

I like that song still.

And thus I've been listening to it multiple times in a row...and even placed it in the playlist with the new Muse album hehe (because I also listen to that a lot too.) That Paramore; they're crazy. In a cool way. In a cool musically talented way.

I finally finished the acoustic flyers for 2464...which was last minute BUT I thoroughly enjoyed making it :) I think I'm in love with flyers! Logos I suck at. Anywho. I'll probably print it at Kinko's because I haven't saved the file on my USB to print at work...which is unfortunate because I can print a whole lot of them for free. ohs wells.

OKAY! Well, I must continue onto working! Even though my work order only took me like 5 minutes to do.

til later.

:( I'm going to be late to the Gathering again :( I wish it didn't take so long to get from Fulltown to Murrtown...

Sabado de Gratis!

I think.

I have an ortho appt in the morning on saturday...and I'm still debating on whether or not I'm going to stop by the bidness expo..I kind of feel like playing on the drums instead haha...I'd like to play at church, but I won't have any access and I think there won't be drums again for sunday service....I dunno. It was kind of weird playing the cajon for sunday morning...not that it was bad, but I kind of like playing on the drums more. :) Well, whether or not drums will be used this weekend...I still want to go on a set.

I bought a pair of new jeans from Aeropostale last night...they're skinny jeans! First pair of said type of jeans...they require a getting-used-to....... :O. WE SHALL SEE. Oh yeah! I also bought a new pair of running shoes! REAL running shoes this time haha....yayyy...now I think I'd like to try them out on saturday also....

Wednesday, October 14, 2009

Para of the More!

Okay...soo..after watching Junior T, Junior Boy, and Sam from twentyfour64 cover Paramore's "Decode"...I got the song via itunes and it is now the song I've been listening to the whole week and a half :). I really like this sooong!! And it's my pace-jogging song haha. Why has it taken me this long to hear this song??? Too bad it was for the Twilight movie...along with Muse's song too...oh well.

Acoustic! :)

pg.460

"He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.
I know that nothing is better for them than to rejoice, and to do good in their lives,
and also that every man should eat and drink and enjoy the good of all his labor--it is a gift of God.

I know that whatever God does,
It shall be forever.
Nothing can be added to it,
And nothing taken from it.
God does it, that men should fear before Him.
That which is has already been,
And what is to be has already been;
And God requires an account of what is past." Ecclesiastes 3:11-15

God has a plan.
He knows what's best even if we think it's our worst times.
His thoughts and ways are higher than ours.

I don't know what it is, but I wish I had more time to think :/

Time to pray for time

to prioritize.

I've been thinking lately...[ever since I got back from Korea]

about:

school.
work.
ministry.

:/

Tres punto Tres!

3.3 miles!

I think that's what we ran today! Today's directions were kind of confusing so I just followed people...and I think we took a longer route, but it's ok. It was a good run today and I'm happy because I'm not sore from Monday's run! Today was a flat route compared to Monday...which was super hilly. My iPod was running too and some songs I listened to were:

+I Belong to You (+ some french words) / Muse
+Alone / Sanctus Real [listened to it twice!]
+The Procession / The Dear Hunter
+Dear Ms.Leading / The Dear Hunter
+Resistance / Muse

I think there were more songs but I was too focused to pay attention... :)

Anywho. I sent in the design for the Women's ministry shirts and Johnny was more than happy to print them haha...how nice! I ALSO BOUGHT A NEW KLEEN KANTEEN. Same exact one that Celester got me for Christmas. Yesterday at work I bought chocolate covered marshmallow cake thingies for my co-workers and boss and I don't think they even cared for them so I started to eat some. >:(. I don't think they would have cared if I brought it in or not...SO I should have just kept them and ate them all...or given them to people back at church!

I'M EXCITED FOR SATURDAY!

Why?!

Because I get to be home! And...there's practice! And I have a semi-interview thing I guess...though that means I have to make a portfolio on my blogspot.....

OKAY! Enough for right now! Time to...watch Offive season 4! and finish my salad...

Urgle Gru

I'm eating honey bunches of oats in preparation for the day ahead and for jogging :)

I'm enjoying the coolness of this long awaited weather! Huzzah!

당신은 총 쇼에 표가 있는가?

Pyo inna yo chong sho?

Hehe. Not exactly the same sentence..but close to it.

Well, aside from that little number, I learned a great deal about Korea, its culture and history, which was an awesome experience. I'm thankful to God for this opportunity and especially to spend time with my Kuya :).

Dag. It's 341 already. I was uploading pics from the past week onto facebook...and even put a heading for each 200 hundred of them....

ALSO. I need to do some homework! I forgot I had a little written project due in Health class...shoot.

Anyway, I went to the Gathering tonight/last night and it was pretty cool because Jennifer led worship for the first time and I accompanied with the cajon. Wesley taught about John 15:14-17, which talked about loving one another, especially your enemies, and that while we are no longer servants, but friends to Jesus [we are still bondservants though] in that instead of being forced to serve God like that of a servant-master-relationship, we are willing and obedient in the same way Christ was. Being a friend of God is a big thing because it means a deeper, closer relationship with Him and that even though He already knows His plans for us and what we're thinking in our hearts, He still wants us to communicate to Him, just like in a normal relationship. Communication is important and keeps two persons connected! Wesley went deeper into it, but I just kind of...summarized. It was a great message though and I'm glad I was able to make it before I have to go back to work on Fridays :(.

And so, after that was time for fellowship and I was telling people how Korea was and some things that happened. We hung out for a while talking about concerts, bands [mostly Blink 182 and Weezer from Christian, and some Muse], The Office, The Apple Store opening today, Guitar Center, and gore-ish videos and crazy people.

shoot. I should sleep? Argh. I still have laundry and homework/studying. Blehhh. BUT ITS ALL GOOD BECAUSE KOREA WAS AWESOME!

Not sure when but

I shall say:

See you in two weeks!

Yeah, I don't know if our hotel will have Wi-Fi power, but hopefully it will. If not then...I will accumulate my adventures and type it on notepad until I can post it on this here blog.

:)

I think...

I almost sang myself to death whilst driving back to Murrieta from Fullerton on a Thursday night.

There are some songs where you just have to sing at the top of your lungs...and although I think my lungs suck, I did it anyway.

I surprised my parents by coming home a day earlier because I requested Friday off too...so that was cool. Had I NOT come home on Thursday night, I would have missed the ending to Mission to Mars with Gary Sinise AND the beginning of K-Pax with Kevin Spacey! AH! Good thing I made it just in time! :P

Anywho, tomorrow I'm going to try to get a haircut...get some snacks for the trip...and do laundry...and go to the Gathering.

YESSSH.

OH! Tonight's episode of The Office, season 6:

AWESOME et FUNNY :)

PARCORE!!

Yum Nums

I'm eating the best batch of Honey Bunches of Oats right now.

why?

Because it was a birthday gift! haha...it's been a while since my birthday, but I haven't opened it yet because I wanted to save it! :D It's still good. and yummy.

thanks guys!

Ever had to break a rock all day, every day?

WITH CHAAAAINS ON YOUR LEGS?!

Here's the story:
Yesterday, I found Jomar's twin on my campus.
Today:
I found Jovic's LONG lost son, who is NOT Jomar.

Crazy.

Also..my COMM233 teacher is a cross between Phoebe from Friends and Kitty from Arrested Development...hopefully she isn't crazy.

This Oriental Chicken salad is sweet...because of the tangerine slices and the sesame sauce dressing thing...but other than that, it's a pretty good salad. I only got this one because chicken caesar was gone. I really need to do real grocery shopping so I stop spending money on one-time meals!!! GAHHHH! Buut, I'll do that after the Kolea Trip!

Hmm...am I allowed to make my own designs for bands? I'm not making them for profit...but I hope I don't get jailed by the thought police...or regular police for that matter.

Anywhose, this is in progress too. There's something missing.....either that or it just sucks haha.

P.S. Health & Nutrition class can be scary to the unhealthy & unnutritioned hehe...but it's also very interesting! :D Time to re-evaluate so as to avoid Diabetes! *pumps fist into the air*

AWW! SCREWGUUUN!!

THE SALES CALL!!! *frantically revs into a U-turn*
-Dwight from The Initiation episode.

So. My Comm233 teacher [Mass Communication in Modern Society] decides to move the test from this Thursday to NEXT Tuesday, which I will be missing. But thankfully, she drops a missed/lowest exam....it's just that until the next exam, I'll be "failing" haha...TIS ALL GOOD. My Chem111 teacher is UBER nice though because he's going to let me make up the quiz when I get back AND he offered to ask someone to contact me with review notes and stuff...even though I can do it....but no other teacher has done that yet I don't think. AND then my CPRL335 teacher is nice too, but I haven't heard from him yet with stuff.

*phew* I went to my joggin class this morning...and I think listening to my iPod helps me run. Of course my playlist was Muse + The Dear Hunter. We did about 2.5mi today and I think I did it in
like 25-30 minutes...so I guess that's good. *shrug*

Gosh it took me forever to link a picture to a message on facebook. They're dumb with adding photos.

welllll...I'm going to take a shower and maybe do homework :)

Tuesday, September 15, 2009

En Progressivo

okay. I'm reluctant to give this as the design for the retreat...maybe because it can be used for other cool shirts....but...alas. It's still in progress...

I'm looking for a different silhouette of a woman...buuut other than that....

:V

:)

Nice.

Muse Shirts

Okay. So for some reason, their new album is inspiring me to make shirt designs. And no, I will not sell them because that's illegal...but its for personal use! :) I have some pretty cool designs drawn in my notebook...and I shall transfer said designs onto my laptop.

I got off work at 8..and I drove to Panera Bread and got food to go :) yummy. And now the Office season 3 is playing on my media direct player.

yum yum.

Monday, September 14, 2009

I know, I know

I've been rambling about the new Resistance album...but dude.

Exogenesis, I, II, and III are eerily spine chilling songs of epic genius-masterpiece proportions....that are in the 3/8 measure, hehe. Those are the only full songs that are in three, not counting Unnatural Selection's middle part, which goes into three also. Crazy. AND MK Ultra is awesome when he starts singing and repeating "They're breaking through:.... :D.

Okay! Enough of that!
This morning, I woke up late and missed my Jogging class :(. Now i'll be docked off half a letter grade because I'm only allowed to miss two classes, which will be used for Korea. Oh well...it's okay. That class isn't hard anyway so I won't be failing it. I made my list of things to bring for Korea! I don't know if my Mom and I can share ONE luggage suitcase.....we'll see.

I've been pretty lazy buying groceries so I've kind of been buying my food...like salads and sammiches and such...but maybe I should go to the store today...I need milk.

Well...I'm going to eat my lunch for today:
Chicken Caesat Sandwich
French Onion Sun Chips (Pam??)
Strawberry Banana Nake Juice

Goodbye!

Chocolate Covered Pretzels

are delicious!

I was searching for Muse's performance at the VMAs and failed. Though instead, I watched the tribute to Michael Jackson where Janet Jackson appeared on stage and did her part for the scream video....it was AWESOME and it was pretty chilling...in a sad way. I also watched the clip when Kanye interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech for Best Female Video or something and he took the mic from her, and said that Beyonce had the best video........crazy.

Anyway...I've been listening to Muse's new album. Enough said.

This weekend was pretty cool! My friends are funny.

Okay, time for homework! T-Minus 6 days until South Kolea!

Musical Treats

And by musical treats, I mean:

Musical Treats.

Today was practice for tomorrow's service...and the people for this sunday included:

Jovic
Jomar
Ej
Jennifer
Rochelle
Ray

It was a good time of worship and fellowship :)
Also. After we were done and people left, EJ taught me how to play some songs on the bass! It was humonga dunga cool! Speaking of bass, when we finished the song set and practiced some of the songs again, we switched instruments haha.....let's see...I think it was:

Jomar = acoustic, EJ=electric guitar
EJ=drums, me = acoustic guitar, Jomar=bass
Jomar=drums, me=bass, EJ=acoustic

it was fun. and also funny at times. And thennn, when it was just me, ej, and jomar, we played some old songs we used to cover like:

coffee - copeland
dance dance - fallout boy
supermassive blackhole & a little of Uprising -muse [well, just me and jomar....Christiann where are youuu?? :P]

and we also played Hosanna, but super all-out AND Jomar played the crazy solo first AND played the cool solo after....it was cool to my ears. and my soul.

Anyway, I learned such listed songs on the bass today!
-Wonderful Maker
-Consuming Fire [kind of]
-Hosanna
-Came to My Rescue [in its entirety :D]

Onto more musical treats:
Before leaving to eat dinner with the parentals, I was practicing what I learned on the bass on my mom's guitar...and then I mosey'd onto playing a Hillsong song called "None but Jesus". DUDE. That song is so great...I love it. Anyway, I was playing along with the track and chords on my laptop and my mom came in and started singing with me too and then I was helping her play it on the guitar ! It was nice.

On the way to Shakeys to celebrate my dad's birthday [tomorrow]...I was listening to my iPod with my playlist of The Dear Hunter + Muse [selected songs though for both], and I think I can play the drums to City of Delusion. That song is quite possibly one of my favorite Muse songs and I have yet to try to play it on a real set :(.

And then, upon returning home, what is this I see?! A package? But of what?? **opens**
The Resistance! CD/DVD! I loaded it on my itunes and listend to the album...which is very cool in a very diferent way haha...but cool nevertheless (but a short album I think...) Anyway, I watched the DVD, all 44 minutes of it [sad that it wasn't longer] and I was amazed at the footage of the making of the album...it was cool and funny. That Matt Bellamy is a goofus.

Okay~ I think this post is long enough......hehe....and so my musical treat adventure ends.
I shall play on the guitar once more before the night closes.

tandobude

haha. yeah, I'm alone today.

I'm working on a mini-flyer for revo because uncle ren asked me to...so they can pass it out at the student ventures......oh yeah, I'm also working on a work order (on the side). Do not be fooled, I AM a hard worker...but I don't have any other work orders, my boss is gone for the day, and my co-workers are also incognito...so I have the place to myself. :(

It's difficult because I don't have anyone to cover for me when I have to go to the bathroom.........I don't have to go NOW...but soon....

Anyway...I better do work now.

Thursday, September 10, 2009

Twenty Minutes In

I must want to go home pretty bad if I'm only 20 minutes into work and already slacking off...I never have the mindset to work on most days....maybe it's because of my co-workers? hmm.

Anyway. Today's work day had a bad start and my boss had the "mean mode" on, but as I got more busy with customers and didn't have time for comments to sink in, it got a little better. One customer (who was a filipina) was very nice and good to work with and we spent a while figuring out prices for banner paper. I was happy in doing so because it gave me an excuse... :). So, after that rough patch, my boss was nicer and work was sort of fun! :P kind of. to an extent.

I don't know...sometimes it can be pretty discouraging to work here...so I always think to myself, is this how work is really supposed to be or is it because of the people who work in it? I dunno. Sometimes I just gotta punch it out!! Hehe...maybe not 'punch'...but more like "pray it out".

I've been typing this in pieces because of work....it's already 6pm and I started this post at 220! Oh well. I just want to go home. Maybe this saturday I can relax a bit and then celebrate my Dad's beeday on sunday! woot. must get card. I can't get lavishfull gifts anymore...so cards will do! And maybe an occasional printed shirt :)

OKAY! back to work! til later!

Tuesday is Labor Day

because I actually have to do work on Tuesdays. Thus, the labor...

This weekend was pretty cool:
Friday: I was late....but I went to the gathering after being absent for a couple weeks; good night.
Saturday: Practice, and then went to a birthday party for a little boy from church whom I didn't know...and was unaware of said party. Lots of church people were there though....anyway, it had a fondue fountain and a yummy fresh fruit strudel :)
Sunday: Church, Juice It Up, Temec Library, Cheap Theaters with Night at the Museum 2, hung out at the Celestino abode and watched Terminator 2 and Fight Club
Monday: Haha..watched Hanna Montana at the same house...but only after spending a large amount of time getting food...it was fun :).

Buut, from the overall span of the long weekend, I only managed to do my jogging homework..which was to find out my target heart rate...and that took no effort at all haha....oh and I also managed to type out the heading to my paper that has yet to be completed.

anyway...I need to take a shower para mi next class at 1130.

til later~

OH MAH GROODNESS

I work the closing shift at work on Thursdays (and tuesdays) . Boss man is gone, so it's just me and my coworker Diane. Nearing the time of closure, down the hall was a small event for new students...but some lady walked in and told us we could eat the free food too! SOOO:

FREE personal pizza, brownie and neopolitan iced cream!!! AND Muse's new single "Uprising" is playing on the internet radio! The only thing that can make this better: Rainn Wilson, walking in with a bo staff in one hand and tickets to a Muse concert in the other....

Haha, silly me! That would never happen!! This work order has been under my arm as I type...and It's been sitting here for a while now while I did...non-work related stuff. *shifty eyes* I'm here ALL day tomorrow anyway, so it'll get done eventually.....

man that ice cream and brownie beneath it was yummyyy to the MAXOSITY!

Final note: I want to go back to murrieta.

HUZZAH and GOOD NIGHT!

*back to work*

Dag yo

There's something about jogging in the morning that makes your day better :)

I did 2.8 this morning in my jogging class (YES, a jogging class! I enrolled in a jogging classs! Whenever I tell people, they're like "You're in a jogging class? + *weird skeptical look thinking 'can't she just jog on her own?'*) Anywayy...we did a nice route that went around a shady park. I should probably bring my iPod though...I'd like to listen to some music whilst jogging...

Hopefully my stretches afterward will prevent the soreness because on Wednesday I have a fitness test with push-ups, sit-ups, and running on the track...

Even after a week and a half of having my dorm, I'm still slowly unpacking and bringing things from my house every weekend in a humongous suitcase (which will be switched to just a duffel bag once I get everything moved) It's kind of weird having this room because the positioning of everything is the opposite of my last room but i guess it's alright.....

This past weekend was pretty awesome-ular because:
Saturday was Revo and my golly, it was another great turn-out despite our late promoting...hehe. At first, there weren't a lot of people, but later on I noticed that almost all of the seats were filled up! Praise God for that!

Post-Revo, we went to Denny's, of course and it was kind of funny because I seemed out of place at the table I was originally sitting at...so I moved...and we ended up talking about some funny things and then trying to see who could cry on the spot with a single tear rolling down, which Alberto won eventually.

Post-Denny's, I started my HW while watching PLANET EARTH :D AWESOME GREATNESS! I love that series! After realizing the time, I went to bed and woke up two hours later to get ready for church.............

Sunday! Interesting message and we had foretold some things the night before :P. We sat in the all members church meeting after the service.......it was hot.

Okay, well..I must get back to....sandwich. :)

para fwhaaat?

So I was browsing the news online...and found that Jim of the Halpert, John Krasinski, is engaged to Emily Blunt. Blehh. What happened to Pam? :P

I'm watching disc four of Planet Earth and it's about seasonal forests and the oceandeep :)

Also, I'm going to start my Chem 111 class homeword: Nutrition & Health. It's a pretty interesting class and I'm actually excited for it! Yayyyyyy.

I'm tired from spending a whole day at work...but I guess it was alright...

Anywhoo, I'm waiting for my laundry to finish asunder!

Uno Mas

One more day to go for the week :) No class, but work all day tomorrow...I guess it's alright. It has been quite an interesting week thus far...mostly because I was worried about dropping and adding classes and I'm still waitlisting for one. Sucks because I had to drop my ONLY class for my major this semester: Art History B, due to my Korea trip causing me to miss the first exam. I talked with the professor about it and she told me that even if I aced the two other exams and writing portion, I would still fail :(. So I dropped it. I'm taking 3 GE classes, and 2 miscellaneous classes. I think my stay at CSUF may be prolonged......not good news to my parentablos. I think they'll understand...

Another thing about this week: I have ordered a total of three orders of books for this semester because I had to drop and switch into a new class and get the books for that one. Actually for the third order I will have to go to Little Professor nearby to buy two books.

So I met my roommates last week, or at least two of the three and they're very nice and both are younger than me :(. One is a freshman, the other is a sophomore. The third...well...I have no clue but she's not really a talker and her stare is scary. Anywho, I have to do reading assignments and practice sets and study questions AND I have to have coffee before two of my classes because MAN, I fall asleep like none other. I feel bad too because I think my teacher saw me dozing off while he was talking.... :/

Oh yeah, I'm typing from work! :O My boss left for the day and it's just me and another co-worker...and after switching the online radio from metallica (because of my boss) to Muse, I started a new work order (which I'm not too sure about) and have been typing on this ever since! Songs played on my random radio list on Pandora were:

Knights of Cydonia - Muse
Some song by Radiohead
When You Were Young - The Killers
Say it Ain't So - Weezer

Say it ain't sooooohoaohhohh

I'm pretty excited for tomorrow because that's when I get to go back to Murrieta! :) I'm probably arriving late though :( That traffic is a pooper. Oh yeah! I read that Muse was making their very first U.S. television performance at the VMAs and they're playing a separate venue just for the fans, who can request free tickets to go! But of course, there is a catch when you live here in California------it's in New York. And it falls on my Dad's birthday haha....so I guess 'm not going (not like I ever was). See, that's where the ability to teleport would come in handy...I could use it to buy a gift for my Dad, celebrate his birthday and then go to New York and listen to a cool concert! Kuya and I have talked about the whole "teleport" thing after watching Jumper. We both agreed that it would be awesome to have hehe.

AW MAN! Another other thing! It's been confirmed that my mom and I will be going to Korea in September to see my bro! I wish my dad could go too though... :(. I can't wait! I'm kind of worried about missing my classes, but I'm not missing any tests, so that's okay, and I think some of my teachers will understand and help work something out.

Dag yo, this is a long blog! I guess it's because I haven't typed in a while...and plus I don't reeeally have work to do...because I don't know how to do it and my boss is gone. More songs:

Deadstar (Live) - Muse
Take Me Out - Franz Ferdinand

Anyway...I better get back to.....things.

Til' later!

Friday, August 21, 2009

Huh.

Okay, so I used the word "quaint" in the wrong context.

:)

Anyway

I finally received my financial aid for the semester (a loan) and I can buy my textbooks and parking permit now! (Just days before school starts...) AND, I dropped from waitlist #15, to waitlist #11 in a matter of two-three weeks! Huzzaaah...hopefully I can get that class!

Henceforth

I actually started drawing on my Wacom tablet again...I guess I got some alright stuff down...I dunno...it's been more like doodlies than actual pieces. I shall post some at the end mayhaps.

Today was pretty cool...
- My Dad, Tito Bernie and his brother installed a new/used fridge which is cooler than our old one...
- went to super target and wal-mart with my parents
- practiced songs for the concert
- buffalo wild wunged it with awesome people
- won a round of the Countdown game with 7000ish points :)
- ALSO. We heard "Take on Me" by A-ha (see previous post)

Time to wake up early tamale!

Good nighting! [Click on the pictures for a larger, COOLER view!]

ArtRage

is a drawing/painting program that I use with my tablet.

...haven't made any cool drawings yet. But, I did do a little tracing of a photo...which doesn't count as an actual drawing because it wasn't really original...anywho, take a gander (if you click on it...it shows a larger version):

well...there it is! Now I'm trying to come up with an original one...but tracing that was pretty fun.
*edit/ okay. I look at my drawing and it reminds me of the A-Ha music video....or am I the only one?

Truth Project number dos was very interesting as it discussed philosophy and ethics....too bad I'm going to miss the next one...though I've seen it already.

I still have to gather my dorm things! Gahhh..

incompleted wor---

--ks.

Man. I started my sketch & poker designs, but never finished them or sent them out for printing...but I guess I can't print them anyway because I lack funds. School starts in two-ish weeks, but moving in my dorm seals the deal when it comes to the beginning of the school year. I forgot to sort out my dorm stuff to bring...but it's only going to be a mini-fridge, mirror, lamp, clothes...and miscellaneous little things. Cleaning supplies don't come until later, when they're actually needed and pots and pans are the least of my concern haha. I think I shall give them a shot this year. My essentials are bowls and spoons for cereal.

Today I met up with KH and Jen at the starbucks near my abode and we worked on the website and I must say....it is really coming along now that the actual layout is more or less done. At the same time I was working the "Unknown Culture" logo and the "New Birth Christian Fellowship" logo. I also had to send Uncle Bayin the church logo in black via e-mail for iron-ons. I also created a picto-word thing by accident:

Did you get it? :P

anyway I think I'll go back to working on the other colors for the website...and on the logos too.
I think I'm zooing it up on thursday with my parents! Yay, we were supposed to go but my mom left for the PI. Hopefully it goes through this week!

two games that have the same exact goal...super simple, but fun (to me anyway)

doodle schmoodle

**BUZZZZ**

I woke up to the buzzing of my phone this morning because my Mom called me down to eat lunch.

And then, after watching the first session tour of the Truth Project and eating pizza, we went to Denny's. It was nice to hang out with Faith, Anton, Christian, EJ, and KH :)

Tomorrow I'm meeting up with KH to work on the website...because it needs a lot of work :/

I'm also working on two logos; one for a church and the other...................well let's just say I needed a lot of help on it haha...

a little patience could have done it

gah.

sometimes, it's better wait instead of trying to get something right away.

anyway. I was reading Amos 4...and it talks about Israel not accepting God's corrections from their ways and not returning to Him even when He withheld rain, locusts ate their harvest, and even caused a plague, killing their people. Verse 12 and 13 struck out to me because this is God making them know who He is and the power that He holds over everything.

12 “ Therefore thus will I do to you, O Israel;
Because I will do this to you,
Prepare to meet your God, O Israel!
13 For behold,
He who forms mountains,
And creates the wind,
Who declares to man what his thought is,
And makes the morning darkness,
Who treads the high places of the earth—
The LORD God of hosts is His name.

When I read the line "Prepare to meet your God, O Israel!", my eyes literally opened wide and for some reason I pictured that scene from Independence day when the mothership shot the huge beam down on the white house and destroyed it. I mean...it's not exactly the same thing, but that power and the lack of effort to destroy the building reminded me of how mighty God is (only He's like infinite times more powerful). It's so effortless how He can strike down with wrath, but even with that, He can also lend a gentle hand upon us.
Sometimes our human errors make God reach that point to where He has to remind us of who He is and to know our place when it comes to His presence and glory. I mean, how could we ever, EVER have a resume and skill set like God has? We can't form mountains, or create wind, or know people's thoughts and inner desires, or create an Earth let alone an entire universe! We especially can't create a way to salvation, especially sacrificing one's own son to provide it.

On a kind of different topic, today's message was really good and I liked how Pastor Ron mentioned "Let go and let God". It makes sense to leave everything under the care of the One who created and wants the best for your life within His will. People can be stubborn of course. I can be stubborn of course. Even so, God is always ready, even when we aren't.

gahh...it's 214am.

sand castle + sand bear + frisbee = Sandastlebearbee

Today was pretty fun at the beach...and now I know how to get to and from it, thanks to Christian. I forgot how long that 76 was, so whilst driving, I was starting to wonder if I was supposed to turn in somewhere or passed it altogether, but NAY. I stuck straight to the directions and found my way home :).

My Dad and I went to LAX and at first I thought I was going to listen to my iPod and sleep while he drove (I was pretty tired),but I decided not to and got to talk to him about interesting/funny stuff, which was pretty cool. Also, we were waiting for my Mom to appear out of the terminal because she landed, and my Dad was joking at how all the filipino passengers were the last ones to come out...ah, sad but true (for the most part)

At home, my Mom gave us our souvenirs and nifty giftys...(hehe some of the clothes were kind of small though...Philippine size.) BUUUT I got a handy dandy canvas bag, a new onestrap mini-ish backpack, and a semi-mini backpack which was free. Backpacks galore! Sort of....

Anyway, this week has been quite interesting...some parts were like =0 and other parts were like >:V and the majority was like :D, but I dunno, these emoticons can only do so much haha.

sand, beach: seach. seach, football: seachball.

Huzzah! Going to the beach a la tomorrow!

Cleaned up my room whilst not feeling good and took a nap which cleared it off.

As of current, I am doing my laundry (bad timing) and yes.

neweth journey unfoldeth

and the new journey will be rightly named: "getting lost along the way"

:)

I'm going to print out directions to and from camp pendleton for saturday since it seems that no one is leaving early. I gotta admit, looking at the directions coming back from the beach look pretty confusing...only because I've never driven it. I'm leaving early because I want to make it back home to ride with my Dad to LAX to pick up my Mommmmmmmm...who is arriving at 8pmish that day.

I pray that a giant metal claw will pick my car up from the parking lot and onto my driveway.

---

fun fact: I was watching a video of The Killers doing an acoustic song in Abbey Road...and the drummer at that moment in the video, looked like the guy who plays Earl in "My Name is Earl".

gaaahh.

The movie for my ears

...is drawing to its fin...er...end.

What did I learn from these three albums from The Dear Hunter?

1. The use of different styles of music and instruments especially
2. The awesomeness of having a wide array of songs that are in the 3/4 measure (when some albums don't even have any!)
3. The cool musical mood settings for each song that correlates with the storyline and song title.
4. The ever cool usage and possible band likedness of using triplets in many many of their songs, but using them in a way that doesn't get tiring even after hearing it a lot!
5. Nice-osity.

It's super hot out there....with a scorching 104 degrees. My dad is bringing Popeye's chicken for dinner tonight as I have decided to stay at home. I haven't really seen my dad a lot because he comes home in the evening and i'm usually gone during that time or even the whole day :/.

Also. I started watching "The Rocker" at like 530am...but dumb megavideo stops it after 72 minutes and you either have to wait 54 minutes or pay for a subscription for it to continue....so I just went to bed ;).

-----
So, I found out that Muse is releasing a super-O deluxe box set for their Resistance album, which includes:

+CD
+DVD
+Digital Version on USB
+Double Sided LP
+1 Poster that has 4 diff color versions

And right now it's only available at some German site for €69.99 , which is equivalent to $100ish.

gah. As I read this, I was reminded of Christian telling me about the Paramore Deluxe box set thing... :(. I would totally buy it if I had the money and maybe if it was available at a site that primarily used the US dollar currency :). But alas, nay. I opted to just buying the CD + DVD. It was relatively cheaper...though it was only available in pounds (£). Oh well.

Speaking of Muse, I had the stupidest dream this morning. It was kind of like the other dream I talked about where I actually got to meet the band, but they left because all the other people were too loud. In THIS one, it was some person's party or wedding and the band was there as guests, not performers, and Matt Bellamy and Dominique Howard brought their fiances (I think only Matt has a fiance in real life, but even then I'm not sure) and I got a picture with them, but the lady who took the picture stole my camera. I also got to converse with Matt....but even in my dreams, it's hard to understand his normal speaking voice because he talks so darn fast, but at least in this, he was slightly better to understand. Anywho...it was cool until I couldn't find my camera and they disappeared :(

Those dreams never have happy endings. It's weird because I didn't even listen to Muse songs yesterday...I was listening to The Dear Hunter.

Anyway, just a random dream story.

what.

forget the long beach aquarium.

I want to go the aquarium in Japan! They have a whale shark!!

So longs & best breeds

Dang man, after Denny's I accidentally took the 215S instead of North, so I ended up exiting Winchester to go back on the freeway. AND alas when I got home, I noticed my phone had gone missing...so I checked my car, but to no avail. I actually went back to Denny's and praise God our waitress kept it for me even though I left it there for like half an hour!!! AHHHHHHHHH. I'm ashamed I don't even know her name yet to properly thank her :/. Buuuut, besides wasting gas and time, I got to listen to more songs from the awesomeness that is called "The Dear Hunter". It's a movie for my ears. :) A band that produces movies for my ears. In song and lyrical format.

Anyway, I don't think I'll be able to make it to the Tuesday night Bible Study OR Wednesday night :/. The former because I have to do errands and call a travel agency for my parents regarding Korea AND I should probably spend time with my Dad because he gets home in the evening AND I'll be gone from the house on Wednesday.

And now, I view my stuff and realize I should probably get back to work soon. No more chedders for me. I need to learn how to budget and to save money. :V

:V

yes, that is a nikigator emoticon..or a duck, or just an alligator emoticon......I can also make an angry one:

>:V

also. i shall be absent on wednesday activities for I am going to OCMA!

Today was pretty.... :0 but as I sat in the chair with my notebook, I wrote "It's all about You." that's how it always is and how it should be, and today gave me a good reminder of it.

Anywhy, I was reading through Psalms last night and came across Pslam 145:24:

"The LORD upholds all those who fall
and lifts up all who are bowed down."

God is the Upholder of everything and even for the people who try to do things on their own power, He still catches them knowing full well that would happen. Aside from the ones who fall by their own means, He also upholds the ones who have that humility and know full well to wait and rely upon the Lord's strength. This verse really stuck out to me and this morning, I was reminded and I praise God for allowing me to read over it.

Okay now...I'm off to sleep..

butterfly knives, lockpicks, and coming home

I'm chatting with my bro right now...and we've talked about said things.

I can't wait until he comes home in December----still praying that he'll be able to....but it would be awesome if he did :)

I just found out that I owe my school $336 because they last minutedly raised the tuition, even though I had already paid last week. :/ Sucks though because I found out about it late so the due date to pay that extra fee was due yesterday.......blargh!

I have two meetings and an optional one...one will include either coffee OR a smoothie with the buy one get one free deal that Hamba Huga started up again :)

OKAY, I need to go to sleep!

french vanilla pudding

tasted rather like semi-cold vanilla bean ice cream.

i forgot I got that pudding from fresh & easy the other day...until my dad reminded of it. It was pretty yummy...

anywho...

I had to pay the bills that mom would usually pay, but since she's in the P.I, she gave me the duty. :O.

I didn't do much today, but i DID give a thought to doing my laundry. notice, I didn't say that Iactually did it........ :). Alas, tomorrow I shall!

Oneth Hundreth?

Dag yo. This is my hundreth bloggin schmoggin. That's one hundred posts of nonsense that I type. With one hundred posts, I can buy TWO HUNDRED apple pies from Mcdonalds....

Today was the last Gathering at mi casa and it was pretty awesome in a blessed kind of manner :). It was pretty difficult rounding everyone to leave my house right quick for Margarette's bowlthday...and hopefully some people didn't get upset TOO much...but as we bowled the night away at the Trevi, I realized how awesomely fun the sport was! (sport? yes.) Too bad my arm dwindled as the games progressed...but I'm happy that I got a decent score. It was also cool to bowl in the same lanes with people who I've seen around but never really talked to and tonight I got to hang out with them :D. That was like 4 hours of bowling! Yummy!

In approximately 5 1/2 hours I have an ortho appointment...and then practice for Revo. What color shall I pick this time? Eh. It doesn't really matter...as long as it's not light colors.

Anywhat....I'm going to be missing summer when I go back to school...lots of fun hilarious moments and great times...I'm blessed to have the friends that I have.

Anywhy.

I should probably get some sleep since I slept at 3ish last night... :/.

"God doesn't love us for what we do, but He loves us because of who He is."

stupid ants

...they're all up in my bidness.

shoot. it took me nearly three hours of searching and comparing for cheap textbooks for my classes...I think I have finally found some good ones. I'm so dumb because I sold a book back last semester that I actually need for this upcoming one...luckily I found a cheaper price on it.

and thus, my day began in a manner like so:

-slept at 2am. woke up at 6am.
-drove my Dad to Kaiser Rside for an appointment, drive was not that long.
-sat in the awkward waiting room from 720ish-1145ish. we were back on the road at noon.
-ate at the denny's in wildomar by the freeway [it's pretty cool]
-slept a tremendously amount of z's
-woke up and went to guitar lesson [learned a lot!]
-taco belled it.
-finally gave a key back to its owner.
-practiced for revo
- a cup of water at buffalo wild wings

wow. Last night I was at the other denny's with the dees of cees. awesome time like always!
buuuuut.......
I lost my flends folever book. :(

Now I'm the Choliest of Melons. Also, new word:

Flends Folever!

written & illustrated by: niki.

I created a book out of 1 piece of white paper at Denny's tonight with the title mentioned above.
It's thought-provoking, genuine, emotional, captivating, suspenseful, climactic, and
life changing. All crammed together into five pages of heart-string-tugging roller coasters of emotions about two best flends and their adventures.
----------------------------------------
Hello, my name is nikigator and I have a rotundous facial structure. I've been called a ninja turtle by Celnester and confirmed by Kuya. :( Some foods go to the thighs, others in gluteous maximus, whereas for myself, it goes to my cheeks, as if I'm storing up acorns for the winter. ALAS NAY! That will change for the gooder for mineself. Good thing I'll be jogging for sure during the semester...
----------------------------------------
Maybe I shouldn't have had a cup of ccino at Denny's...I have to drive in a couple hours and I'm woefully awake still! So. I used my laser a lot today. Oh yeah, my classes are as followed:
----------------------------------------
[]
Beginning Jogging (yes I know what you're thinking: "What? Beginning? For why?" *shrug*)
[]
Mass Communication in Modern Society (whuuut? that's not even part of my major! Though it is a GE..)
[]
Visual Communications (like said statement above, this is also GE, but not for my major)
[]
Health & Nutrition (I had 2 cups of ccino, one cheesecake, mozerella sticks. shoot.)
[]
Art History 201B (where I left off in my last class up to Modern art. not too fond of it.)
[]
Problem Solving & Reasoning (Psychology class about...stuff.)
++ Hours of work that my boss will squeeze in during my week. huzzah minus the excitement!
----------------------------------------

Speaking of work: We discussed artists' and writers' block. Mine resulted from working at graphic services, a place where it would seem like I'd have motivation to create things creatively (false.) I think it has sucked my creativity into work orders for the school and outside clients. If it brings home the bucks, then I guess I could suck it up and do it. I have sporadic creative moments...so it's alright.

Speaking of sporadic creativeness, here are the other "sketch" shirt designs I have so far...the
white one is still in progress, but I like how the redded letters form a new sentence within the rest of the lines. The green one has the front on the left and the backside on the right...or it could go either way maybe. ALSO, the brown one is totally different from the rest & incomplete, but mayhaps it can be a new "line" of designs:

she knew the Lord with her heart

I know I shouldn't be sad or be crying, but that's just how the human instincts kick you in the heart strings and punch you in your sadness gut. I think the main reason why I'm sad is because my Mom didn't make it in time before she passed away...I know she wanted to be there while she was still alive so my mom could at least talk to her because she believed that my nanay might somehow hear her while in a coma. Another reason is because of the letter she sent recently saying she wanted to see us again. man. I wish I could be there with/for my Mom...but I'm glad she has her whole entire family to be there too...

man. it hurts, but this sadness is temporary while my Nanay is eternally living with the Lord with my Tatay too----happy.

Monday!

today was pretty hectic for my mom because she had a lot of stuff to do before we left for the airport...but when we got to the airport, she was on her way to her gate while my dad and I had to leave :(. Some airport people are mean, and one didn't even know where Manila was until my mom had to tell them it was in the Philippines. Few are nice enough to let two boxes that are a couple pounds heavier than the limit pass without the extra fee.

Anywayy..I slept to and from LAX until we hit a subway close to our house and bought lunch. Then...I accidentally fell asleep again at home.................. :(. And now I had just finished eating dinner with my dad, who cooked up some yummy burgers! We were also watching national geographic about catching mega behemoth fish....pretty interesting.....and then the next show was about death valley!! :O I like watching discovery and national geographic with my dad...it's one of those things that we've done even when I was little. We both share the love for animals haha.

and hopefully...resuming chili's tomorrow? I dunno. We'll see.

racing against it

so my mom is leaving tomorrow for the philippines for three weeks...it's very hectic when you have to pack for said time frame, do errands before the flight tomorrow, and pack two balikbayan boxes for the family on the motherland. Tomorrow my mom has to:
- get her passport from a secret location,
- return a digital camera for a different one,
- buy a laptop for my cousin's mom,
- scan hers and my dads passports for my brother in Korea,
- and accompany me to print out photos of our family here in the U.S. for our family in the P.I to see.
- she also has to teach me how to pay our bills online and check her e-mails....

the reason why she's leaving so suddenly is to win her own against time and try to beat it before it's too late. my tita Linda said she's going to wait for my mom to conduct the final decision about it...and I guess it makes sense because my mom is the only one who is a nurse and she's pretty close to my nanay too.

man. everytime I think about 90%/10%...it makes my chest heavy and my heart ache. 10% is the chance for surviving it, but even if that would happen, there would be no activity in the brain from then on.

I just pray that my mom will make it safely and be able to see her before it gets any worse.
That's why I should have done my passport business a whole lot earlier----because maybe then I could have actually gone with her too, but I can't do anything about it except pray and be hopeful.

the unexpected II

...more news from the Philippines through my Mom.

it seems as though the situation has taken a turn in the wrong direction.
The only thing we can do is what people who don't know Him might think is useless:

Pray.

It's a lot more effective than people think.

I've just searched for flights for my Mom to leave THIS week...hopefully we can find one that isn't too costly.

the unexpected

sometimes it's hard to believe how healthy someone can be and still something can go wrong in their body---but for whatever the purpose, all we can do is understand to let God do His work. we just let go and let God.

As my parents were driving back from Nevada, my mom got a call from her sister in the P.I. saying that my nanay [i know it means "mom", but we call our grandma that anyway] is currently comatose. How? No one knows the exact reason right now until they can get her in for a CAT scan [which in the Philippines is a little difficult to get....especially where our family lives]. It's crazy that just a couple days ago, my Mom received a letter from my nanay wishing we could all visit her soon because she's getting old, but even then, she's still pretty strong in health, so this sudden news was pretty surprising. we just gotta pray for my nanay and her health. I could tell while my Mom was on the phone that she was really concerned not only as a daughter, but as a nurse too, because she actually knows what the cause might be. Also, I would think that as a nurse or a doctor, you'd want to do whatever it takes to find the diagnoses on a patient to help make them better.

Now my mom is thinking about taking an emergency trip back home [and taking me with her though my passport isn't in yet]...but that would be pretty difficult financially. we'll see. God sees and will provide if it's His will.

the Master [of Creation] is at work.

I was getting out of my car tonight at my driveway when I was thinking about a shirt design.
A shirt design that was kind of relatable to me in the idea of art.
So, I came up with a short thingy of words to put on a shirt.

"My life is a sketch that has yet to be finished by the hands of the One
who painted the skies and imagined the universe.
The One who dotted the stars into the canvas of space and brushed the clouds into motion.
I give my life to the One who was stained red to cover my sins and completed the masterpiece for my salvation."

I'm still working on designs to fit around this...I have one so far, but I have other fonts I'd like to experiment with...and can someone tell me if this makes sense:

"My life is a sketch of my salvation"

I dunno. Let me know what comes to mind in case I have to change it [I don't want any misunderstandings from this shirt design! :P]

If it sounds cheesy, sorry! I have my fair share of it sometimes!

Psalm139:14-I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

Here is a draft sample prototype? I don't know if I'll stick with this one...but I'm still working :)

Off-Colored

and such was the day today. *shrug*

Besides reading the Worst Case Scenario book, I spent some time watching over the pre-school and kindergarten kids.....what a handful! No wonder they need more helpers! They're so cute though.

I also took some pictures with the nice camera and just now realized that I forgot my camera battery and charger in Suite N...dang it. I hope it's still there tomorrow..

And speaking of tomorrow, I'll be absent on Friday from VBS due to an unexpected happening at my workplace in which I have to attend :/. I'll be there for the carnival though!!

After VBS tonight, I just decided to go home while everyone else went to the Murri House...I dunno, I heard they were going to watch Australia...Hugh Jackman is cool, but I'm not sure about the movie........hmm.

ANYWAYYYYYY. Mayhaps I'll be getting a PSP on sunday from phil and I am in total exciting yayyy....I just hope I can get some games....

I hope there won't be off-colors tomorrow!
And now, goodness night.

Yay

I'm glad it arrived! :D

First day of VBS:
-Finally finished the Christmas lights in the Bible Study and it looks great!
-Things went smoothly!
-Finished the third part of the DVD!

cheese puffs & bagels

are yummy. not together, but separate....

I also like that song "Blue Eyes" by the Cary Brothers..good song. First heard it in Garden State and again while watching Scrubs [notice both have Zach Braff in it, who hand picked the songs for the soundtrack to Garden State!]

Anywho, we watched the second part to the emergent church dvd....pretty interesting stuff :)

And thus VBS starts tomorrow!

Sequence!

Ahh, it was a nice night hanging out :) Buffalo Wild Wings + alternate game of Sequence = fun. But I will remember from this night that I should never order 10 boneless wings...because I get full after 6 of them. Anywho...I realized that I forgot to take my leftovers out of my car.............................................................................

Chervice!

Soo, today was pretty fun. A whole lot of MIRTH. Yes, mirth, I said it.

I spent much of my day collecting books and video games beckoned by my brother in South Korea...I did a LOT of lifting with heavy plastic bins and stuff because my brother's things aren't unpacked yet. BUT OH MY GAH. I found a treasure load! I found some cool Batman comics of his that I'm gonna read, I found two music CDs that I will burn unto lap of top, AND I CARRIED UP LIKE A MILLION DOLLARS WORTH OF DVDS to my room! Well, not a million, but a lot. What an arsenal! It's crazy how much my brother has spent on DVDs, CDs, comics, books, and video games...mind blowing.

Anywho, after I collected those items, I took a shower and proceeded to church to measure the drum shield for VBS props only to find that everyone was leaving for free Chik-Fil-A! I rode with Christian and Faith and got me a milkshake and free nuggets! Yum.

After forth so, we practiced for Bible Study and actually did full band, which was pretty cool. After a great message, we went to the Bible College to volley some balls! It was SUPER fun :)
My legs are well spent for the night....but alas, I still haven't received anything in the mail. :(

Well, I'm going to call it a night...so, NIGHT CALLED! :P

July Ate, Two Thouand Nine

And so...

Yesterday: I stayed at home. [Which was good news to my parents :)] I watched the MJ Memorial on t.v.....pretty sad. I also failed to install two PC games on my laptop because one CD is messed up and the other one I lost the serial numbers for. :(

Today: I shall depart for the church to work on props for VBS & then go to Bible Study.

Also.

I started watching season two of Arrested Development-----Incrediously funny to the max.

Man, I've been waiting for something in the mail for a while now...hopefully it actually comes in! Gahhhhh

blank [ ] ______

sometimes it's hard to forcefully come up with a title, so this is what I got.

tonight was good (as if the other times hanging out with good friend Denny weren't :p). i would have loved to talk more, but alas, nay, time was not on our side and I think the constant noise coming from Good Charlotte was not helping either.

today was good, but i'm pretty tired...i slept at 3am-ish, woke up at 7ish, and was out with my mom from 8 to 11:20 and then I was at church from 12 to 7 somethingish. Denny's was after that until midnight.

tomorrow will be nice to catch up on with sleep...and packing some things to send to my bro. I am indeed a tired one. :)

Bereft

be⋅reft

–verb
1. a pt. and pp. of bereave.
adjective
2. deprived: They are bereft of their senses. He is bereft of all happiness.

Okay. Someone has got to be a genius to have actually made a way to include this word into an awesome song. That was the first time I had heard of the word and it was used and placed nicely into some pretty cool lyrics. It's a simple definition but no one really uses that particular word often. Who uses the word "bereft" in a song?? If there are others, let me know. :)

SO! Today
was a beautiful day!! [Not like every other day isn't, but....] I mopped suite O for an hour and I hung out with my mommy today! We went to the mall and stayed there for like 4ish hours until I had to drop her off at church for the Tagalog service, but it was great spending time---I haven't really done that in a while! *sad*. AND THEN when I went home for a couple hours, my dad calls me up and asks me if I want to eat at Asia Seafood Buffet with some other people who attended the night service......it was cool. I also saw Uncle Ren, Tita Leah, Nick, David, and Josh, so that was swell. Although it was nice eating with my parents...I thought it was just going to be us three, but we had guests, so they were preoccupied with talking to them than me....so I was just eating and being the 6th wheel. It's all good.

And then last night was 4th o' July and the Celestinos' were nice enough to invite me to watch the fireworks in Temecula! I think that was the closest I'd ever been to the actual fireworks....it was awesome and like always, they played my favorite song of the holiday!! Haha...it never fails. That night was full of a cool show, snickerdoodles, a Highway to the Danger Zone, Ambulances rescuing Ambulances rescuing Ambulances rescuing the sick...and firetrucks on fire that have to be extinguished by another firetruck. :) Hilariosity galore.

And thus tomorrow I must wake up early again to go with my mom to start my passport process that I should have started weeks ago :/. Hopefully I can get everything done while stopping by Wal-Mart before VBS'ing...we'll see.

anywho...til' some other time!!

The ten new track titles from Muse's new album sound pretty cooool. I have just finished cleaning multiple parts of the house for the Gathering tonight...hopefully it won't be too hot for everyone!

Bin-til-uh-door

I have a fan blowing in my face now and it feels nice.

At today's VBS'ing of sorts, we accomplished a lot because Imari had forwarded and spread the news, so that was pretty cool. When I went to the church early I decided to play all three albums of Coldplay because I've only really listened to the first one and by golly, their songs are amazing. All that's left to do is:

+ 2nd half of the John wall [I think it's John..]
+ 2 humongous tents for L & P
+ More little tents, bushes, stumps, camp fires, etc.
+ Deco for the foyer in N..
+ Bring my little tent + Christmas lights + paper lanterns [hopefully]
+ 2 more props for the skits

And I definitely have to get my passport....shooooot.

Anywho.

I'm waiting for something in the mail!

Saturday, June 20, 2009

wow

many things are oblivious to the people who make it obvious.

*beach was SUPER FUN today...I think it was my best football day ever!! YAY...too bad I didn't play the third game....I was so tired and my legs were acting up =[. But yea, it was funnnnnnnnnnnntimes.

Failure to describe

All I can say that I know can never be enough is:

I praise God for everything in my life.
I praise God for everyone in my life.

I always smile to myself when I remember my mom asking me "Don't you ever get tired of each other?"
I can see how she might not understand that a good time for fellowship with close friends is late and long after when it comes down to just sitting and talking-----that kind of fellowship. I couldn't even describe how happy I was just being able to talk with close friends who are very important to me. After tonight, I KNOW I don't have to worry about whether the problem was because of me or not with a certain awol. I'm so thankful for them

GAHHH. I am filled with elation and jubilatious exuberance and happy!

brace for it.

...because it is forthcoming.

believe you me, it will arrive!

Hopefully we can go to Didneyland next thursday =]

Cool thing:
Johnny Roger is following me on twitter and replied to my reply! What a funny dude. I kind of only have The Office things and bands I'm following...but whatever, ISH AWL GOOOOD.

Huzzar for awesome talks and our best friend Denny.

the 5 types of people He chose

i. The foolish
ii.The weak
iii.The base [wicked]
iv.The despised
v. The nobodies

At tonight's bible study, Anton talked about 1Corinthians 1:26-31 and it was an amazing message and a blessing. One of the points that really stuck out to me were those five types of people in the passage that God chose to fulfill His will....which are the total opposite of the world's standards. God chose those kinds of people to put the wise to shame and He reveals through their service that, yes He can still use those kinds of people for His glory.

He also touched upon Isaiah 48:11 which pretty much states that only God can have the glory and there is no one that can ever "share" it with Him. It's about the MESSAGE [Jesus Christ] and NOT the messenger. The reason why there is church growth is not because the pastor can do all these things or has traits that make people want to attend, but it's because of GOD and His presence and His glory being done within it.

Man, that was a great message from God through Anthony =].

Other good news!
So my Kuya called my mom and me today and told us that the Navy is totally willing to pay for our family to go to Korea! He's going to go into work and ask if it's exclusive only to family or if he can have other people go too, but maaaan, I am SO willing to skip a week of school to visit my bro. It'll be the week of Sept 21-25, so I'll already be a couple weeks into the semester, but if it's all paid for, then I don't want to miss the opportunity! It sucks enough that he might not be able to visit during the holidays, but this makes up for it =]. I really hope he can visit at least in January....so he can visit the church and friends! Praise the Lord indeed.

MORE good news!
Happy B-day again to Christian! Hope you guys had an uber time at disneyland! Also! My coworker sent me an invitation to a surprise Birthday/Baby Shower for my boss on Friday around noonish....so there may not be VBS work on that day.. =/. I'm still debating......

Some ALRIGHT news!
My song data base for the guitar has expanded a little ever since I borrowed a capo! Yayy. Well, even without it, I learned some other songs....like....Came to My Rescue! And...Great Light of the World by Bebo Norman! And......others! =]. Just need to practice! and practice! and learn how to sing good. =[. I'm only singing to myself anyway, but it would be nice...o well. I also ordered a new 8GB flash drive to replace the one I lost! Yayy...it's just a tad bit more than what I paid for on Black Friday....but..it'll do. **update! I was playing along with the songs on the guitar...and when Son of God came up from Hillsong, I actually got the chords right by listening to it!! Yayy! Probably not a big deal....but it is to meeee!!

OKAY! Back to other things!! I'm excited for tomorrow maybe! And friday kind of! And saturday of course!

p.s.
Lasagna with toasted, buttered slices of Texas toast is schwayze to the MAX. So is recording loud awesome songs over summer------to the MAX.

*Because we sort of dance to all the songs in the restaurant*
