Musical Treats

And by musical treats, I mean:

Musical Treats.

Today was practice for tomorrow's service...and the people for this sunday included:

Jovic
Jomar
Ej
Jennifer
Rochelle
Ray

It was a good time of worship and fellowship :)
Also. After we were done and people left, EJ taught me how to play some songs on the bass! It was humonga dunga cool! Speaking of bass, when we finished the song set and practiced some of the songs again, we switched instruments haha.....let's see...I think it was:

Jomar = acoustic, EJ=electric guitar
EJ=drums, me = acoustic guitar, Jomar=bass
Jomar=drums, me=bass, EJ=acoustic

it was fun. and also funny at times. And thennn, when it was just me, ej, and jomar, we played some old songs we used to cover like:

coffee - copeland
dance dance - fallout boy
supermassive blackhole & a little of Uprising -muse [well, just me and jomar....Christiann where are youuu?? :P]

and we also played Hosanna, but super all-out AND Jomar played the crazy solo first AND played the cool solo after....it was cool to my ears. and my soul.

Anyway, I learned such listed songs on the bass today!
-Wonderful Maker
-Consuming Fire [kind of]
-Hosanna
-Came to My Rescue [in its entirety :D]

Onto more musical treats:
Before leaving to eat dinner with the parentals, I was practicing what I learned on the bass on my mom's guitar...and then I mosey'd onto playing a Hillsong song called "None but Jesus". DUDE. That song is so great...I love it. Anyway, I was playing along with the track and chords on my laptop and my mom came in and started singing with me too and then I was helping her play it on the guitar ! It was nice.

On the way to Shakeys to celebrate my dad's birthday [tomorrow]...I was listening to my iPod with my playlist of The Dear Hunter + Muse [selected songs though for both], and I think I can play the drums to City of Delusion. That song is quite possibly one of my favorite Muse songs and I have yet to try to play it on a real set :(.

And then, upon returning home, what is this I see?! A package? But of what?? **opens**
The Resistance! CD/DVD! I loaded it on my itunes and listend to the album...which is very cool in a very diferent way haha...but cool nevertheless (but a short album I think...) Anyway, I watched the DVD, all 44 minutes of it [sad that it wasn't longer] and I was amazed at the footage of the making of the album...it was cool and funny. That Matt Bellamy is a goofus.

Okay~ I think this post is long enough......hehe....and so my musical treat adventure ends.
I shall play on the guitar once more before the night closes.
