*beach was SUPER FUN today...I think it was my best football day ever!! YAY...too bad I didn't play the third game....I was so tired and my legs were acting up =[. But yea, it was funnnnnnnnnnnntimes.

Failure to describe

All I can say that I know can never be enough is:

I always smile to myself when I remember my mom asking me "Don't you ever get tired of each other?"
I can see how she might not understand that a good time for fellowship with close friends is late and long after when it comes down to just sitting and talking-----that kind of fellowship. I couldn't even describe how happy I was just being able to talk with close friends who are very important to me. After tonight, I KNOW I don't have to worry about whether the problem was because of me or not with a certain awol. I'm so thankful for them

even though not a lot of people showed up for vbs'ing, I had a great day =]. I learned two new songs today...and found a cool beat.

Hopefully we can go to Didneyland next thursday =]

At tonight's bible study, Anton talked about 1Corinthians 1:26-31 and it was an amazing message and a blessing. One of the points that really stuck out to me were those five types of people in the passage that God chose to fulfill His will....which are the total opposite of the world's standards. God chose those kinds of people to put the wise to shame and He reveals through their service that, yes He can still use those kinds of people for His glory.

He also touched upon Isaiah 48:11 which pretty much states that only God can have the glory and there is no one that can ever "share" it with Him. It's about the MESSAGE [Jesus Christ] and NOT the messenger. The reason why there is church growth is not because the pastor can do all these things or has traits that make people want to attend, but it's because of GOD and His presence and His glory being done within it.

Man, that was a great message from God through Anthony =].

Other good news!
So my Kuya called my mom and me today and told us that the Navy is totally willing to pay for our family to go to Korea! He's going to go into work and ask if it's exclusive only to family or if he can have other people go too, but maaaan, I am SO willing to skip a week of school to visit my bro. It'll be the week of Sept 21-25, so I'll already be a couple weeks into the semester, but if it's all paid for, then I don't want to miss the opportunity! It sucks enough that he might not be able to visit during the holidays, but this makes up for it =]. I really hope he can visit at least in January....so he can visit the church and friends! Praise the Lord indeed.

Happy B-day again to Christian! Hope you guys had an uber time at disneyland! Also! My coworker sent me an invitation to a surprise Birthday/Baby Shower for my boss on Friday around noonish....so there may not be VBS work on that day.. =/. I'm still debating......

Some ALRIGHT news!
My song data base for the guitar has expanded a little ever since I borrowed a capo! Yayy. Well, even without it, I learned some other songs....like....Came to My Rescue! And...Great Light of the World by Bebo Norman! And......others! =]. Just need to practice! and practice! and learn how to sing good. =[. I'm only singing to myself anyway, but it would be nice...o well. I also ordered a new 8GB flash drive to replace the one I lost! Yayy...it's just a tad bit more than what I paid for on Black Friday....but..it'll do. **update! I was playing along with the songs on the guitar...and when Son of God came up from Hillsong, I actually got the chords right by listening to it!! Yayy! Probably not a big deal....but it is to meeee!!

OKAY! Back to other things!! I'm excited for tomorrow maybe! And friday kind of! And saturday of course!

And to think that the first visit was kind of weird............

Today was pretty cool. We got to talk to a good friend that had been in hiatus for a while......and it was nice hanging out and talking. Some things are still uncertain in my mind, but it was cool enough to talk for like four hours. Heh, my Saturday is still free in the morning, but there's always a reason for everything. Christian, you're a lucky guy! =P

Anywho..I hope I get enough sleep to go to Denny's [?] and do one more backdrop for the sanctuary.......

I drove the long way home

It's sad taking the longer way to get home from IHOP...especially after living here for 19 years.

Anywhose...praise God that the VBS painting has been going smooth and fast-paced...there's still a lot to be done, but we've been putting out a wall per day! Yayyyyyy

Well...it could have been worse...
All that mattered were the A's in my art classes =].
The B's were from Sociology and Spin [those written tests!!!]
C was from....well, History of course!

And thus my Spring09 semester is completely complete with the knowledge of my grades.
Continuing summer-mode.

YESTERDS DAY! I went to the Jolliest of La's with Christian, Faith, Barbara, Kimi, and Brooke. I thoroughly enjoyed:

The beach.
The sunbathingesque nature
The narration of people's lives
The free mocha drink from Mcdees
The stater bros.
The malfunctioned loaf of bread =]
The funeral pyre
The hanging out

And then after......it was lessons and practice! And today, I'm just waiting to go to the Gathering.....and maybe a little bonus trip after!! Bwahah. I watched a video of Muse at a concert for a talk show or whatever and they were upset that the people wanted them to mime the song and it was HILARIOUS!! When you make Muse mime, they make fun of it haha....it was entertaining. Dominique the drummer and Chris the bassist switch instruments....Matthew Bellamy is great at not caring when he has to mime =] At least he's still pretending to sing haha....

...from my "Musepiration" playlist on iTunes. That list has seriously been playing on my laptop, iHome, and car for months now with a few exceptions of a different playlist here and there...but I guess I've never listened to a single band for THIS long before...even Delirious? and The Myriad don't compare to it =[. I'm listening to my Hillsong/Gungor list....but I also have twentyfour64, starfield, sanctus real, and other other Christian bands.

Today, my day consisted of not jogging like I was supposed to because of the weather....but instead, working on designs and what not. I also watched "Fun with Dick and Jane" and "You, Me, and Dupree" on the free On Demand thing on t.v. I went to Bible study and Denny's after, which was great.

Coming home, I quickly rushed into my house because I was scared of the natural disaster called "burglers" that sweep through the night in a flurry of destruction. Despite this, I gotta say that I was blessed by Faith's message that the Lord gave her last minute and I was also blessed with the fellowship after. I'm always blessed to spend time with good friends and I am A-OK with my summer being filled with that!!

At home, I was debating on whether to tell my parents about the beach before they went to bed OR telling them the morning of...and I decided on the former, because I think it would be better than finding out last minute. And as Jovic told me on Sunday that he would message me the time for practice tomorrow, he never did. It's all good though cuz' I'm going to the beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeach! hah.

Hooray for almost finishing my second jury duty...all I do is check online and be told to check again the next day...and the next day...it's awesome.

ANYWAY. Time to....sleep? Maybe.

I really have to remember to measure the rooms for VBS......ack. Also, I have to print out those Awana awards......but I have a feeling they won't be needed.........*sigh*.

a terrible thing

This morning I had the WORST best dream ever..and this time I WILL share it!

In my dream, I was in a hotel that was also half my house. BUT then I found that Matthew Bellamy was staying there and we were talking and I was happy! Then, after I got a picture with him the room was suddenly filled with other fans and I was like "what the heck?!" Inside the same room, the band was trying to practice Map of the Problematique, but everyone was being too loud and they got kind of peeved, so they left to go the venue they were playing at.

Man. Random dream.

I think I had this dream because I watched youtube videos of Muse before I went to bed....and I also left my itunes on while their songs were playing.......ugh whatever...that dreamed sucked at the end!

Anyway, today I hung out with my mom! We ate at Shakey's...went to Kohl's, Lowes, Office Max, Guitar Center where I bought new sticks and Lightning Rods, and then Stater Bros.

Fun FUN!
